Go Labs helps companies adopt AI. We're building a bench of contract developers who will work on custom projects for our clients - everything from internal tools and workflow automation to more complex builds involving custom models and integrations.
This is not a typical developer role. We build with AI coding agents as our primary development tool. Claude Code, Codex, and similar tools aren't supplements to our workflow - they are the workflow. We need developers who already work this way and are excellent at it.
Direct applicants only — we are not engaging with recruiting agencies or development firms for this role
What we're looking for
You're a strong fit if you can check all of these boxes:
You use AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) daily as your primary development approach, not just for autocomplete or occasional assistance
You have strong opinions about how to set up and steer these tools - CLAUDE.md files, task decomposition, prompt strategies, knowing when to let the agent run vs. when to intervene
You understand automated testing and CI/CD - quality assurance is a core principle at Go Labs, so the code has to be tested properly from the start
You believe documentation is a first-class deliverable, not an afterthought - other developers will need to pick up your work
You communicate clearly and proactively - this is a remote, async-first team and written communication is everything
You're pragmatic about tools and process - you adopt what works, not what's new
How it works
Hourly contract work, fully remote
Project-based assignments - you may work on one project at a time or several
You'll collaborate with other developers on the team via the company messaging platform
Volume will vary - some weeks will be busy, some won't
Our process
You submit the application below
We review your responses
If it's a fit, we'll send you a short technical exercise
If that goes well, we'll do a brief video call
If we both want to move forward, you're on the bench
If this sounds like you, apply below. If it doesn't, please don't - we're looking for a very specific profile and we'd rather have a small number of great people than a large pool of okay ones.
